elegant womanIn a world divided by prejudice and hatred, only love can bridge the chasm.

Tensions are rising in the Gladium Province. The boundary between humans and Morgons has begun to blur. While the human aristocracy strives to maintain distance between their daughters and the dragon-hybrid race, fate has other plans.

As the daughter of the corporate king, Jessen Cade is duty-bound to honor her arranged marriage to a man she detests. Feeling trapped by family duty and a loveless future, she longs for more, straying to the Morgon side of the city.

Lucius Nightwing is the eldest son of the powerful Morgon clan, and the greatest enemy of Jessen’s father. When a bar-room brawl thrusts Jessen into his arms, his dragon roars to the surface, craving to sate his carnal hunger in the brown-eyed beauty. The beast in Lucius recognizes her as his own, even if the man refuses to admit the truth.

Holy Dragon Babies. This book was pretty much straight forward hot. I loved how this book didn’t fit with most supernatural books. We weren’t vampires, werewolves, or fairy. We were badass Dragons. Now we start off with Jessen. A girl from a very rich and powerful human family, but who never really fit in. She didn’t believe in her father’s beliefs that Morgons and humans should not mix. We first meet Jessen sneaking out of HER home to go to a Morgon club with her friends. I immediately loved Jessen. She was so snippy and went after what she wanted. She wasn’t afraid to stand up for what she wanted, well until she is threatened with the 2 people that she would do anything for, her mother and sister. Jessen is Lucius’s mate, his other half, the one that calls to his dragon. Their “relationship” is a whirl wind of drama. First Lucius tries to fight his feelings, while Jessen wants to explore them. Then when Lucius FINALLY comes to his senses its during a party where Jessen’s father announces her engagement to Aron (without Jessen’s knowledge) this leaves Lucius confused and hurt and angry thinking Jessen lied to him. Later when Jessen tries to find Lucius, Aron tries to rape her, Lucius swoops in to save the day.

You get the idea. Drama at every corner. Now I loved this story line, but at times I felt like I was missing something. Maybe more information on the Dragon clans? I’m not sure. It just felt like something was missing. Maybe there will be a second book that goes deeper into the Dragons, I really hope so because I’d love to see more of Jessen and Lucius as they fight their way through their marriage together. I’d also love to see more of Jessen’s brother Demetrius. While he is an asshole throughout the whole story, at the end we see a different side of him. When accused of being like their father, Demetrius recoils. I’m thinking there is a lot more to him than meets the eye!

All in all an amazing book. I can’t wait to see where the author goes with this one!
